shoes. Oh... how could I describe my reaction to the perfect shoe. Be it a slouchy leather bootie with a gold columb heel, knotted brassy velvet peep toe teetering on a dagger sharp wooden heel, a second skin boot in liquid mercury or simply a frosty pink pump dripping with pinstripe gossamere bows... shoes are not simply an accesory, they are something to build an outfit off of. When I see the perfect shoe glimmering on the pages of a magazine or a slumber in a bed of paper, nestled in it's box throne, I can conger up an outfit in my head. Take the mohawk studded leather heels from Prada for example. A splayed starburst of leather studded fringe in a halfmoon above the ankle resembles the punky-do we all know, the shoe perfect height for a slighty painfull but worthwhile fashion statement. I can imagine it the star of the show, playing backup is giant studded belt with braided leather, artfully torn tights and being perfectly sinched under the belt, a lanvin fall '09 threadbare dress in cream. Simply add a brass orchid cuff and coral lips and your suddenly evoke creativity and edge, but all the while a sophisticated trend setter. Heels rule the shoe world. The only thing left to say?
