powerbelt

belts. Take a shapeless maxi and cinch it with a belt and magic occurs. Shapeless waterfalls of fabric suddenly are bent to your will, exposing a waistline and womanly silhouette. But it's not just what the belt does for the dress, it's the belt itself. belts have been taken out of it's long past of menswear and integrated into elite female fashion. There are many different looks achievable by the perfect belt. A men's-style leather skinny belt over a subtly printed T-shirt dress conjures up a semi-retro practicality with an after taste of hydrogenous femininity. A thick patent leather over a trench produces diva glam. A wispy fringed belt in a warm shade of cinnamon, dripping with ceramic beads like a flower touched with dew, adds boho bling to a simple outfit with a bit of the unexpected.
Then their is an entirely new breed of belt, the subject of my humble post. the powerbelt. A belt that is so miraculously adorned that it makes the outfit. A belt that is so dramatic, unique and courageous that it is the focal point of the outfit.
