jason wu

John Rocha may be my favorite undiscovered designer but Wu is my favorite discovered designer. Sometimes my fav designer of all time is Rocha, sometimes Wu, depending on my mood. Jason Wu's clothes are the perfect cross of feminine, creative and sublimely beautiful. Such as this confection from his latest collection. A houndstooth-esque print that looks like fallen black and white feathers is printed on a just wispy enough clothe encasing a sophisticated shell. It is accented by a well placed boat neck. slightly transparent cap sleeves drip over the models shoulders, the overall effect is a timeless beauty.
Karlie Kloss
another one of his, showing his more artsy flambouant side is this number. A low nap, high sheen skirt with subtle pleating to bring out the way the waterfalls of mustard fabric spill out compliments a floaty blouse. A widewailed chunky trench reminds me of something chanel did; the feminine suits they did for spring.
Agnete Hegelund
this dress is geniouse. I ruffled, semi-tiered peach dress with tiny lettuce ruffling is a fairytale. perfectly fitted and perfectley slouchy at the same time this dress is totall cocktail elegance. This dress is floaty yet retains a slight sheen.
Myf Shepherd
this frothy, milky tan gown is tiered, showered with perfectly tossy and messy ruffles and is fluffed to it's prime, yet remains not too fussy. A subtle pin prick sized polka dot pattern is inscribed into the floaty fabric. The wrapped strapless bodice is flattering especcially for those with narrow shoulders as it will broaden them. It's also just a universally flattering cut since it brings attention to the face and neck.
Heloise Guerin
this dress reminds me of an edgier Wu, a risky dramatic Wu, similar to what I would expect from Ralph Lauren or perhaps Yves Saint Laurent. It si slender, skimming over the models body, skinny but not tight so it appears graceful. The heavily adorned fabric shimmers a rich jewel tone blue that looks saturated and rich. As the design disperses we can see the velvety texture of the fabric.

hey and welcome to catwalk groupies

This is a blog.
a blog for the girl.
the girl who walks through a room. A valantino bag slung over her shoulder like it's a burlap sack. It's ruffles nesteled into the dip of her neck
the material lifting up like it would fly away
if not cinched with a versace belt
the shoes she wears
peek out from under her skirt
the rest is slightyl visible through the misty irdesence of her gown
a gown for the ages
the shoes peeking and drawing back
appearing and reappearing
like a fractured image on the water
they slide out and dazzle with candy apple red
dewy with sworvoski
bracelets clink on the wrist like chimes
studded with hard brackish metal
those like her find sanctuary
in this crazed world
of fashion
this blog
is dedicated to her
and those alike

welcome to catwalk groupies
